Stolen Acropolis Fragment Returns to Greece
An archaeological fragment from the Acropolis returned to Greece. A Dutch tourist, who visited Athens in the 50’s, removed a corner part of a capital or a cornice and kept it as a souvenir from the Acropolis. Sixty years later, the man asked the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities Leiden to help him return the fragment in Athens.
