* US troops reportedly battle Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen in southwestern Baghdad Tuesday afternoon.
* US-backed regime imposes curfews in four southern provinces as offensive against Jaysh al-Mahdi continues; Muqtada as-Sadr calls on followers to stage protests through out the country against US-led campaign.
* Mortar shells blast into "Green Zone," bomb targets US patrol in eastern Baghdad as US, regime forces launch open offensive against Jaysh al-Mahdi militia Tuesday.
* Kurdish-separatist Peshmergah gunmen launch "ethnic cleansing" campaign to drive Arabs out of districts in oil-rich Kirkuk Tuesday.
* At least 33 confirmed dead in US-backed offensive against Jaysh al-Mahdi in al-Basrah. Fighting continues to rage into Tuesday night in the southern city.
* US, Iraqi regime forces launch offensive aimed at "cleansing" al-Basra of Jaysh al-Mahdi. Jaysh al-Mahdi, in control of most of the city, threatens to "set oil fields ablaze" if offensive is not halted.
